It’s summertime, who would want to eat a heavy breakfast or a hot breakfast… One of my favorite breakfast food during summer time is chia drink. It is easy to make and nutritious! Today I made some watermelon Chia drink! It is the best way to start your day with this tasty and pretty chia breakfast.
Pretty, tasty and nutritious!
1 cup WTR MLN watermelon juice
1/4 cup organic chia seed
Mix chia seed with the juice and let it sit for 2-3 hours or overnight. Be sure to mix well or else it may clump on the bottom.
Watermelon juice is loaded with electrolytes, vitamin C, and lycopene L-citrulline. WTR MLM’s Watermelon juice offers fresh watermelon taste and sweetness to the pudding so no added sugar is needed.
Chia seeds are tiny black seeds that deliver a massive amount of nutrients with very few calories. One ounce of chia seed contains 11 gram of fiber and 4 gram of high quality of protein. Fiber is essential for your body’s ability to balance insulin levels. Chia seeds are loaded with antioxidants, which help fight the production of free radicals. Chia seeds are high in omega 3 fatty acids. In fact, chia seeds contain more omega 3s than salmon! Chia contains a high amount of bone nutrients: including calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and protein.
Should you eat the seed raw or soaked?
It won’t hurt to eat them straight, but if you soak them, then you are “sprouting” them and it releases the “enzyme inhibitors” that are used to protect the seed. This is much easier to digest and your body can access the dense nutrition inside the seed. In my option, I prefer eating it soaked.
