Please read below and learn about the best grocery delivery services and meal kit delivery services based on my personal experience.
Here is a list of best grocery and Meal Kit delivery services that are worthy of checking out:
Butcher Box

High-quality meat delivery subscription offers grass-fed and grass-finished beef, free-range organic chicken, and heritage bred pork. Currently, this service delivers to all 48 contiguous states except for Alaska, Canada, or Hawaii.
The meat is frozen, carefully packed in an insulated box, and shipped to your door at no delivery fee. This way, your meat is being shipped within the optimal temperature range. You will also get a tracking number for each order, so you know exactly when your shipment will arrive at your door. Each month you get to curate the box yourself to your liking, or Butcher's Box will do it for you. There is a minimum order for this service, and the minimum order is 10 pounds of meat for free delivery.
What I love about this is service is they will deliver the best high-quality meat right to your door. The downside is Butchers Box will only deliver to your door once a month, so this means you can't order meat delivery per week.
Farm Fresh To You

Farm Fresh To You is a small family-owned company that delivers organic fruits and vegetables fresh from their California farm to your door. I LOVE about this grocery subscription because they carry everything from meat to pantry items to body care products. This grocery delivery subscription is also a subscription-based, and you get to choose when you want your grocery delivered. You can get it delivered per week or monthly. You decide when you want your grocery delivered. And the best part is everything they carry is organic. If you are someone who loves shopping at Whole Foods, then you will like this delivery subscription. Currently, they only deliver to certain parts of California, and it is free delivery. Even though there is no delivery fee, but there is a small minimum order you need to meet each time. The minimum order amount may vary based on your location.
What I love about this grocery delivery subscription is getting all your basic organic grocery needs delivered right to your door. Plus, all the produce is farm fresh! The downside of this service is they only deliver to your area once a week, so you can't get your grocery instantly.
In my option, this is one of the best organic grocery delivery services if you can plan your weekly needs ahead of time.
Imperfect Food

Imperfect Foods delivers grocery, organic and conventional produce, and snacks up to 30% less than grocery store prices because they are imperfect. Don't let the word "imperfect" scares you. What makes them Imperfect? Cosmetic, off-spec, surplus, undervalued, packaging change, and short coded.
I love this delivery service because they offer a variety of groceries from fresh produce to pantry items for less than your grocery stores. Plus, they deliver to many major cities throughout the United States. With the subscription, you can order per week, two times a month, or monthly. You decide what your delivery schedule is and what you want to order. There is a minimum order of $30 per order. There may be a delivery fee, and fees vary based on location. However, sometimes they do offer free delivery if you purchase a certain amount per order.
In my option, this is another one of the best grocery delivery services, especially when you are on a budget. The downside of this service is they will only deliver to your area once a week, so you will need to plan what you may need head. Plus, the item varies week by week based on their inventory, so if you see something you love this week, it might not be there next week.

Currently, this service is only available in SF Bay Area, Sacramento, Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, New York, and New Jersey. There is no minimum order quantity for delivery, but there is a minimum you have to meet to qualify for free delivery. The minimum order varies based on location. This grocery delivery service is not subscription-based, so this means you can order your grocery per week or bi-weekly. If you can submit your order before the cutoff, you can get your grocery the next day.
In my option, this is one of the best grocery delivery services to get your Asian goods and groceries need in general. Besides Asian products, they carry your typical produce such as banana, apple, lettuce, carrots, etc. so this is your one-stop shop.
Daily Harvest

Daily Harvest is a subscription delivery service that sends pre-portioned cups of frozen, healthy food to your door. You can get anything from smoothies to overnight oats, matcha lattés, grain bowls, flatbread, and even soup. Their food is built on organic, thoughtfully sourced fruits and vegetables. This way, you can feel good about what you are eating.
I love Daily Harvest because it is super convenient, and it's perfect for someone with a busy schedule and wants to eat well.
Thrive Market

Thrive Market is an online store that sells products at wholesale prices. It is designed to be cheaper than your Whole Foods, Amazon Fresh, Amazon Prime, or other grocery stores. They have a large selection of healthy natural foods tailed to specific diets (from allergy-free to gluten-free). Besides pantry items, they do offer a limited range of meat and seafood.
To shop at Thrive Market, you are required to be a member. The membership is very affordable. You can either pay it month by month or annual membership. The membership fee is $60 per year, and that works out to $5 per month. Or you can do month by month, and it's $10 per month. There is a delivery fee, but if you order over $49, it is free delivery. I never have trouble meeting my free delivery requirement.
Thrive Market currently ships to all residential and commercial addresses in the Contiguous U.S. They do not ship to P.O. boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Canada.
What I love about this online store is they have something for everyone for less. You can find things from vegan to gluten-free diets. You can also find items from cleaning products to seafood. In my option, this is the best delivery service for household needs because they pretty much have everything.
Hello Fresh

Hello Fresh is the largest meal-kit provider in the United States. They offer a large selection of easy-to-prepare meals, and everything you need is in one box. Meals starting at $7.49!
I love the service because there is no commitment, and you get everything you need to make the meal all in one delivery. You can skip weeks, or canceling the service is super easy. And most importantly, Hello Fresh tries to make the recipes as environmentally friendly, sustainable, and delicious as possible.
Food Stirs

Foodstirs is a baking subscription kit service that delivers all-natural, seasonally themed dessert recipes to you every other month. Most of the ingredients they use are non-GMO, fair trade, and certified organic.
This subscription is great for bakers or just something fun to do with the whole family! What I love about their products is they contain better for you ingredients than your average baking kits.
Amazon Whole Foods And Fresh
If you have Amazon Prime, take advantage of your membership to get Whole Foods and Fresh delivery service. Due to unprecedented demand and to ensure social distancing for their associates, availability is limited for pick up or delivery time slot.
Tips: Amazon claims they release new time slots throughout the day, but I have more luck trying to get a slot at night. I also have much better success with Amazon Whole Foods than Amazon Fresh. But this will depend on your location.
Amazon Prime and Amazon Fresh offer a variety of grocery delivery needs. It is ultimately your Whole Foods online. As someone who loves to shop at Whole Foods, this is one of the best grocery delivery services delivered to your door. I love this delivery service because you can get it on the same day or the next day. Both stores have a minimum order of $35 per order to qualify for free delivery.
If you can get a time slot, this is another one of the best grocery delivery services because you can get it the next day, and you can pretty much buy anything that Whole Foods carry.
Benefits Of Online Grocery And Meal Delivery Services
Easy and convenient
Grocery delivery services are easy and convenient for the whole family. All you need to do is customize your delivery to your liking, and it will get delivered right to your doorstep. You can also pause or cancel the service at any time!
Save you time
With grocery delivery services, you can save a lot of time from shopping at a grocery store. All you need is a few minutes and a few clicks. These types of services can be extremely beneficial for a busy person.
Affordable And Potential Saving
Delivery services aren't necessarily as expensive as most people think. Imperfect Food, for example, you can save up to 30% than the grocery store. Even if you are ordering meat kits with Butcher's Box, it will still be less than dining out.
My rule of thumb: buying groceries and cook your own is cheaper than ordering meal kits. Purchasing meal kits is less expensive than dining out.
Try New Things
I love these grocery deliveries or meal kit delivery services because they carry so many different things that you may not see at your regular grocery store or have tried before. These types of subscriptions can really encourage you to try new things or introduce new ingredients. Are you up for it?
Great for people who have dietary restrictions
Grocery delivery services and meal kit delivery services are excellent for people with dietary restrictions. Farm Fresh To You, for example, offers a great variety of farm-fresh organic produce. With meal kit delivery service, it makes diet restriction even easier! There is a subscription box out there for every diet nowadays. Some companies even offer personal nutritionists that can help you to design meals that are just for you.
The Downside Of Online Grocery And Meal Kit Delivery Services
Lack of Ability to choose and customize
Using an online grocery delivery service will means you won't be able to pick out what you want to buy physically. If you are very particular about what you are looking for in your produce, you may have a slightly hard time with this type of grocery delivery services. For example, when buying a watermelon, you won't be able to look for that yellow spot. Or you won't be able to feel the firmness of that avocado before purchasing.
With a meal kit, some service does allow customization to a certain extent. But it may not be exact to your liking, whether it is a little saltier, spicer, or more vegetable.
Need To Plan ahead
Some of these services may only deliver to your area once a week. This means you will need to plan your groceries need ahead, or else you will left with an empty fridge.
Final Word
Above are the best grocery delivery services and meal kit delivery services I have personally used before and are currently using a few. Especially during COVID 19, I recommend that you check them out because they offer no contact delivery. Each of them is designed for different needs. If you don't see one that fits your need, there are many other similar services out there, such as Misfits Market, The Fruit Guys, Farmbox Direct, From the Farmer, Sun Basket, Purple Carrot, Urthbox, Blue Apron, and so much more. There is a service out there that will meet your needs.
With these grocery delivery services, it's easy, hassle-free, and stress-free way to get your groceries delivered right to your door. The whole process is contactless, so you don't have to worry about potentially being exposed to COVID.
Thanks for reading, and I hope you find the best subscription box that fits your overall needs.
Cheers.
