Today is berry color food day! The color in between purple and pink 😉 To start the day, I made a superfood smoothie that is a combination of beet and pomegranate.
1 Whole organic beetroot
1/4 Cup of fresh organic pomegranate
Next organic dried coconut
1 Whole fresh orange
Beets have many great health benefits. It may help lower blood pressure, boost stamina (source of energy), fight inflammation, contains anti-cancer property, help support mental health, support detoxification and much more. It is rich in folate, manganese, potassium, copper etc. High in fiber and loaded with antioxidant.
For those who are wondering how much to drink to see the effect of lowering blood pressure? According to Dr. Oz, one to two cups juice a day has been shown to have a significant effect on lowering blood pressure.
Pomegranate is packed with powerful anti-oxidants. Great for cardiovascular support, lower cholesterol, contains anti-cancer and immune support properties.
For those who aren’t into a beet, the combination of pomegranate and orange makes the juice less beet. The reward of organic coconut at the end is always something to look forward to 😉
