We love eating lobster, and today I made tropical lobster tail tacos. This taco recipe is beautiful, light, full of delightful flavors, which makes it the perfect dish for the summer.

Eating lobster in restaurants can get quite expensive. You can easily spend between $20-$50 on a lobster dish and probably not be getting a whole lot of lobster meat. But for a special occasion, it is worth the splurge. But for a typical day, why waste money on dining out when you can make your lobster taco at home. Making your lobster dish at home is very cost effective and much healthier than dining out.

Why should you add more lobster to your diet?

A lobster tail is a nutritious addition to your healthy eating plan. With less than 1 gram of fat, 0 gram of carbohydrates and almost 28 gram of protein per cup, you will also get a good dose of essential nutrients.

Lobster offers a nutritious source of calcium, vitamin A, iron, B1, copper zinc, phosphorous, selenium, and sodium.

Health benefits you can get from consuming lobster:

  • Prevent cardiovascular disease risk
  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Prevent from arthritis
  • Fight cancer
  • Prevent macular degeneration and keeping healthy eyes
  • Maintain cognitive function

How much lobster should you eat?

Lobster can contain a moderate level of mercury, it is advised that you consumer lobster 6 times or less per month. This risk is especially high if you are pregnant.

To minimize the risk of foodborne illness, buy properly refrigerated, fresh lobster. When buying frozen lobster, be sure to defrost in the refrigerator, not on the counter or in the sink.

Trader Joe's Green Goddess Salad Dressing

While most tacos are smothered in mayo, I like dazzling mine with healthy Trader Joe's Green Goddess Salad Dressing. This salad dressing is creamy, smooth, garlicky, and herby. The ingredient is clean and low in calories.

Ingredients: Water, avocado, Apple cider vinegar, Green onion lemon juice, chives, parsley, Virgin olive oil, yellow onion, basil, garlic, sea salt, black pepper
