Waffle Maker
There are a ton of waffle makers out there, and you can get one for under $20.
I am currently using Cuisinart vertical waffle maker, and I love it! It is easy to pour the batter into the maker, easy to remove, indicator lights and an audible alert, and it comes with a measuring scoop to fill batter, so there is no chance for over or under filling.
Every since I got this waffle maker, our days are fill with waffles. I tried to experiment with different waffle recipes and try to incorporate more fruit and vegetables into the recipe, so it is healthier. This way, we can feel better about eating waffles. This whole wheat blueberry cinnamon waffle recipe is definitely a feel-good recipe.
Whole Wheat Blueberry Cinnamon Tips:
- You can put all the ingredients in a blender to mix.
- If you are looking for healthy alternatives, you can swap white flour to whole wheat flour or nut flour (almond, coconut, chickpea).
- I don't like to add sugar to the recipe because the fruit will naturally sweeten the waffle. Naturally, sweeten your waffle with fresh fruit toppings!
- If you are not a big baker, you can make this recipe with premix.
- If fresh blueberry is not available, you can swap for frozen blueberry.
- When looking for maple syrup, get the real deal. There should only be one ingredient in your maple syrup!
- If you can’t eat all the waffles you made . . . that’s okay. You can refrigerate or freeze the waffles, then just pop them in the toaster. They will be nice & crisp and delicious again.
